Welcome to the fourth annual Clonpriest 5K Road Race & Walk - Voted the BEST 5K in Cork
Map & Directions
On the N25 between Youghal and Killeagh there will be 1 turn for Gortroe (spelt Gortaroo on some signs) ,
all other roads will be closed to traffic from 6pm. We'll have signs on the N25 to guide you.
From Cork this is the first turn to the RIGHT after Greenbarn Bistro
From Youghal or Waterford it's the first LEFT after the Youghal Bypass
- Travel from Cork 40 min / Midleton 20 min
, from Waterford 1 hr / Dungarvan 25 min
Please drive carefully, traffic calming will be in place on the N25 approaches to Gortroe Cross.
Once you have turned off at Gortaroo Cross the blue arrows on the map above lead to the car parks (shown in purple).
Stewards and Gardai will assist and direct you here.
Traffic arrangements are in place to facilitate emergency vehicles.
- Please follow directions from the Stewards/Gardai.
- Many approach roads will be closed to the public so stick to these instructions.
- Roads will close from 6pm and reopen immediately after the race.
Car Park 1
is for emergency service personnel, event staff and anyone who may need to get away during or immediately after the race.
Car Park 2
is the main participants parking area. It will be closed throughout the event and won't reopen until the last of the runners have finished.
Once you've parked please proceed immediately to the School to collect your race number and timing chip.

Please take the time to
before noon on the day of the event.
Once you've collected your number and chip and got changed you can drop off a bag within the school.
You should go immediately to the Start line - it's 350m from the school!

Dropping off runners at the village crossroads is fine but please don't delay and remember to please obey any instructions from the Stewards/Gardai.
Don't delay - drop them and move along.
- bring your rubbish home with you and help keep East Cork clean.
